Hey, I just watched most of your videos on YouTube and they're all really good! I'm interested in film and longboards as well, so I hope to be able to film like you one day. We like you here in Texas man! xx

Aw, thanks! I haven’t been making longboard videos for a while now, but I hope to be able to do more this year. I’m nothing amazing really, but I’m glad to inspire you to create more too. Keep creating, and you will definitely get before you even realise it!

There apparently has been some behind-the-back bitching going on, and to be honest, I don’t know why some people like to take things personal. So admins, excuse the following reply I am going to make regarding these people, it will be the only one that I am making regarding this issue.

You know, I don’t really care about what people say behind my back. I can read though. And I can understand another language. Here’s some info for the people who have been bitching: I never ever EVER asked to be sponsored. Neither did I aim to film to get sponsored. I film because I like to make things look nice, it’s as simple as that. I’m not even trained to do it, nor did I learn it in school, I learnt it on my own and making longboarding videos was one of the ways for me to practice, contrary to what most people think. It’s what I like to do. I know I am not an excellent skater compared to most of you, and being a best skater isn’t actually my priority to be honest, because I have many other things that I like doing too, longboarding ain’t my entire life - basically, the point is that I like to do things at my own pace. I don’t care if you say that I’m short, or chubby, because that’s got nothing to do with you or me and I’m happy enough to do what I like and have friends who care enough about me. SPONSORED OR NOT, I WILL STILL BE MAKING VIDEOS. BECAUSE I LIKE TO MAKE THEM. It’s that simple.

Also, I’m not going to stay chubby or be unable to freeride or take high-speed follow shots for the rest of my life. This will soon be proven by time itself.

Basically, I don’t really care if you guys hate me or anything. I don’t really care what you say about my skills either. Every view on a video that I make contributes to my own personal growth, and thank you all for that. I am learning myself, but if you’re being a sour dick about it, it’s your problem. And like I said, don’t make your problem someone else’s problem. But have fun making fun of the way I look. Because I’ve been losing weight. :D You think I do nothing but talk? I try to work hard on my videos and there’s a lot of effort put in to try to make the skate scene here seen by the world, and I know my videos aren’t perfect, but I try to improve with every video. So yeah, I don’t care about you. I’m doing this for myself and the community.

Uh huh.

I’ve been invited to give a talk about longboarding and my videos at The Substation on the 4th of August. I think it starts at 10AM, but there are many speakers so I’m not sure when is my slot going to be. I’ll keep you guys updated when it’s nearing, though.

If anyone or any Singaporean longboarder wants to come down to hear me or support me, you are more than welcome to do so. I also may or may not give an exclusive screening of an upcoming video.

That is all. Good day! Check out the event page here. There will be many other speakers talking about art cultures and subcultures and different types of scenes in Singapore. :)

Hey, where did you get the white E*W sticker on your helmet? Did you print it yourself? I've only managed to find stock images that are in black.

I cut them from the actual stickers I got from Earthwing. For a period of time back then, they were giving out navy blue stickers with white logos on them. I simply cut the white logo out.

how'd you get the filmmaker sponsorship? any chance you know i way i can intern as a filmmaker for them?

I didn’t actually ask them to sponsor me. They offered it to me and I accepted. As for internship, you may want to shoot them an email with your portfolio and CV and ask them, they should forward it to their creative department to have a look. Best of luck.
